Kieyam was the Head of Old Mutual Customised Solutions Boutique and Chair of the Investment Committees. OMCS has investments under management of R170 billion, offering both local and global investments across various quantitative and systematic investment strategies. He was responsible for leading and designing out the strategic and commercial direction of the various investment strategies which recently included elevating the value proposition of quantitative investment styles. Under his leadership OMCS launched its first active SA and Global ESG funds as well as launching a securities lending desk. Kieyam initially joined Old Mutual in 2005 and held various senior investment and business roles. In 2013 he was appointed Head of Guaranteed Investment Products focusing on structured products and synthetic indexation solutions. In 2016 he led the Shareholder Investments team focusing on optimising the on-balance sheet investments of the the Old Mutual Group. During 2018 Kieyam was appointed as General Manager in Product Solutions. In the latter role, he served as an Exco member of the Corporate Segment and was accountable for the strategy, development and management of Old Mutual’s range of smooth bonus, structured and annuity products. In addition, he was accountable for investment strategies and asset allocation of all with-profit funds. During 2019 Kieyam designed an investment strategy and led the team that was crowned the winner for a Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) international contest aiming to solve for the volatility of defined contribution plans.
Bernadette joined Old Mutual Multi-Managers on 1 May 2024 as Chief Operating Officer. Bernadette has a MBA (Magna Cum Laude) from Vlerick Business School (Belgium) and has over 20 years of senior-level management experience, with deep and robust knowledge and expertise in operational and technical business solution delivery, risk management, process development, and technology implementation gained both locally and internationally.
Roland has over 20 years combined investment experience in investment consulting and multi-management. He joined SYm|mETRY Multi-Manager in January 2011 as Chief Investment Officer. When the business merged with the Acsis Research and Investment Management team to form Old Mutual Multi-Managers in 2013, he became Head of Customer and Product Management for the new business. In 2016, Roland founded Tailored Fund Portfolios, an Old Mutual Wealth capability that provides tailored discretionary fund management (DFM) services to the Independent Financial Advisor (IFA) market. Roland has an insurance science degree from the University of Pretoria, has passed his SAIFM Registered Persons Exams and is a CFA Charterholder and CFP® professional. He also received training in holdings-based investment analysis in London from StyleResearch and was trained in manager selection by Brockhouse Cooper Inc. in Montreal. Roland has been appointed as Head of Retail for Old Mutual Multi-Managers (OMMM) effective 1 September 2023, to oversee and grow the fund as well as the DFM proposition of Old Mutual Multi-Managers in the retail market. Roland was appointed Chief Investment Officer in July 2024 and is responsible for Old Mutual Multi-Managers’ investment strategy and process, as well as the management of investment team.
Andrew has over 26 years of experience in investments ranging from investment product development for both life companies and asset managers to consulting on all aspects of investment strategy to retirement funds and other institutions. He has served on various trustee boards and management committees of retirement funds and is the Chairman of the Investments Committee of the Actuarial Society of South Africa. Andrew is a regular speaker on retirement and investment matters at industry events and conferences. He holds a B.Sc. (Hons) and is a Fellow of the Actuarial Society of South Africa (FASSA) and the Faculty of Actuaries ( FFA).
Kim has a proven track record of strategic leadership and over 20 years of experience in financial services, spanning portfolio management and analysis, investment solutions, and distribution.
Kim oversees the development and implementation of Old Mutual Multi-Managers' client value propositions and investment strategies for the retail market. Her focus is on improving our service delivery to clients and planners, ensuring a consistent approach across model portfolio and fund solutions.
Kim holds a BCom Honours degree in Finance from the University of the Western Cape and an MBA in Finance from Stellenbosch Business School.
Melanie has been the Finance Manager for Old Mutual Multi-Managers since January 2014, shortly after the merger of the SYm|mETRY Multi-Manager and Acsis Research and Investment teams. She started her career with Old Mutual in 2010 at which time she oversaw the Life Fund investment reporting and financial reporting for South Africa's largest retirement annuity fund, SARAF, as well as the Fixed Bond product reporting. Prior to this, she completed her articles at PricewaterhouseCoopers before progressing to the position of audit manager, which involved servicing clients in the financial services industry, including retirement funds, medical schemes and investment managers. She is a qualified chartered accountant, registered with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Taruona leads the product team at Old Mutual Multi-Managers, leveraging his extensive experience in retirement funding and investment strategy. Previously, he advised Boards of Trustees, MANCOs, and members at OM Corporate, on achieving optimal retirement outcomes and understanding the implications of long-term investing. He also served as a product manager, where he developed and managed products to meet customer needs. Taruona holds MSc in Mathematics of Finance and BSc Honours in Financial Modelling degrees.
Sharon joined Old Mutual Wealth on 3 June 2024 as a Human Capital Business Partner. She is the Business Partner for Old Mutual Multi-Managers and Business Development teams, and the Practice Owner for Talent Management across our business. Sharon holds a BSocSc: Psychology and Organisational Psychology, a BA Honours: Organisational Psychology from the University of Cape Town as well as a MBA from the Graduate School of Business.

Suvira joined Old Mutual Multi-Managers on 1 August 2024 as Deputy Chief Investment Officer. Suvira holds a business science degree specialising in Analytics from the University of Cape Town. She is a CFA Charterholder and an academically qualified actuary, as a student of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries. Suvira joined Sanlam Multi-Manager in 2016 as part of their graduate program with primary responsibilities of manager research, largely on hedge funds. Over the years, her role progressed to include portfolio management. In 2020, she was promoted to Co-Head of Alternatives, where her responsibilities were extended to creating investment solutions involving the full opportunity set of Alternatives, including private equity, mezzanine debt, infrastructure, and private credit over and above hedge funds. In 2021 she took on the full role of Head of Alternatives, whilst continuing her responsibilities as portfolio manager to both the retail and institutional client bases. In 2023, she was appointed Co-Deputy CIO of Sanlam Multi-Manager, driving the strategic planning and execution of the investment process.
Izak started his career at Old Mutual in Cape Town as an intern in the strategy team, before joining Old Mutual Corporate's business intelligence unit. He later became an investment analyst for Fairbairn Capital and when that business was absorbed into Old Mutual Wealth in 2013, he joined Old Mutual Multi-Managers as Investment Strategist. In this role, he was responsible for economic research and investment analysis that feeds into the tactical asset allocation process. He was appointed as Chief Investment Strategist in 2023 expanding his responsibilities across the broader Wealth business. Izak holds an MPhil in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the University of Cape Town. He writes regular commentary on investment-related matters for clients and advisors, and is frequently quoted in the media.
After starting her career as a marketing executive at Investment Solutions in 2003, Andreea joined Old Mutual Investment Group (SA) in 2006. In 2008, she moved to SYm|mETRY Multi-Manager to oversee the development and maintenance of products and then joined the investment team in mid-2010, where she was involved with manager research within the absolute return building block and was also responsible for the international strategy. In September 2011, she was promoted to head up global investments, a role she currently undertakes for Old Mutual Multi-Managers. She is a BCom Honours graduate and a CFA and CAIA Charterholder.
Nosibusiso, joined the Old Mutual Multi-Managers investment team in October 2017 looking after hedge funds. She is currently the Head of Property and Hedge. Nosibusiso began her career in Financial Services in 2006, working for Absa Bank. In 2008 she joined Novare Actuaries and Consultants, as an Investment Analyst, where she built up extensive experience in manager research, fund selection and fund due diligence. In 2012 she was appointed as Fund Manager, where her responsibilities included maintaining relationships with key clients. In 2015 she joined the Novare Investments team as Portfolio Manager and in March 2016 she was promoted to Head of Research. Nosibusiso holds a Bachelor of Accounting and BCom. Honours (FAPM) degrees.
Barry is the Head of Quants and is responsible for investment modelling and data management. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science and an Honours degree in Financial Risk Management (cum laude). These qualifications include mathematically rigorous courses on mathematical statistics, portfolio theory and risk modelling.
Shawn has accumulated close to nine years of experience in the investment industry, starting his career in financial services as a hedge fund accountant in 2006. He has since taken on various leadership and operations roles within the Asset Administration sector. He joined Old Mutual Asset Managers as a performance analyst in 2014 and was appointed in his current role in 2016. Shawn is a well-educated and accomplished professional and currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Stellenbosch Business School. He also holds a National Diploma in Cost Accounting from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology, a B.Com Honours degree in Finance and Investments from the University of the Western Cape, as well as an M.Com degree in Financial and Risk Management from the University of Cape Town.
Tintswalo joined Old Mutual Multi-Managers in 2022 as an Investment Analyst. He has worked in the investment industry for six years, and started his career as an Investment Analyst at Sanlam Multi Manager for four years and as an Equity Analyst for two years in the Sanlam Investment equities team. As part of the investment team, Tintswalo is responsible for the global equity portfolios. He holds an MCom (in Corporate Finance and Valuations), a BBusSci (in Economics) and is a CFA Charterholder.
